You can't beat Austin for their diversity of sound. Name any genre and they probably have a live band playing it somewhere.

There just isn't much of that where I live.

Thought you were in Connecticut. Maybe you have to drive a little, but believe me, you are not deprived. Try living in the northeast corner of Oklahoma. Even the thriving metropolis of Tulsa sorely lacks in good live music. Gotta go to Kansas City for that!
