I'll let you know if it works out. She'll have to keep her grades up. But she test very well, and I suspect it will work out for her. She may choose to spend two years at our community college first- it has an automatic in to Berkeley or Davis if you keep a certain GPA and take the classes mandated. I can't remember what the program is called, but a lot of the kids around here opt in to it. It works out well financially, and gives the kids a little extra time to mature before they go away. I suspect she'll want to pursue graduate work, as everyone else in our family has, so it would be better to save a little money on the front end, so we can pay for her graduate work later. We're very lucky to be so close to so many excellent UC campuses.
