Like I said we tend to trade the short term stocks, but what I didn't mention they are in fact retracements, as you call them. See the table at savvy-trader.com for example, these are on our watchlist for tomorrow.

Market direction is a big player, if it is negative we stay out or buy small shares...or short. Yes, the breakouts do depend on market direction, but we also don't buy them until they do something...and sometimes that happens when the market does nothing <g>...or goes down.

I don't know much about BBH or SMH, but AMAT and QLGC both have been on our breakdown shorts once or twice the last several weeks.
