Bush is completely over the top in terms of coddling the rich with state subsidies and useless programs like National Missile Defense and the ag subsidies to the richest landholders in the U.S.

IMO, the recent tariffs on steel being one of the worst. We just keep feeding the steel industry, so they don't have to modernize their plants and be competitive in a global market. To boot the tariffs increase the consumer cost of products that use steel; so it's an indirect tax on the American people as well. Why do we want to discourage the steel industry from modernizing, start trade wars with the world, increase consumer costs, and have a net loss of American jobs? Mind-boggling.

What shocks me is that the rank and file GHP voters have such a difficult time seeing that they're being played for patsies by the tax-and-waste GHP leadership.

I'll never forget Reed's statement [Christian coalition].... Tell them what they want to hear and do what ever you want. [close quote].
