They are well aware of the Arab consequences of joining us in the war. I think the fewer Allies we have with troops on the ground, the easier it would be for them to strike back.

Interesting. I think it's exactly the opposite. Should they strike back and we have a rather large contingent of allies, it's more likely to be viewed as part of a coalition. If we are basically alone, it's more likely to be viewed as Israel and the US against the Arab states.

Danced yesterday afternoon at the "Monarch Room" in the "Royal Hawaiian Hotel" to "Del Courtney's," band on his 92nd birthday. (He was on the "NBC Blue" network in 1939.) You are on a dance floor, looking out at Diamond Head, with the surfers in the foreground riding the waves. Got to be the greatest Venue in the world.

Spent Sunday (1) vacuuming; (2) unsuccessfully trying to fix my wife's dsl connection. Got everything ready, including my script for the Verizon technical support folk so we could focus on what was the problem rather than their view of it, only to find I would have to wait 30 minutes for them to answer (read an hour, at least that's my experience). So failure there. (3) The other project was to rebias the tube amp to, hopefully, correct some shrillness in the system. Got everything ready, manual, tools, flashlight, etc. only to discover it will take two folk to get the top off to reach the bias screws. Thanks to the rack setup. (4) And, finally, since options expired Friday, I reworked my buy-write stuff, and will buy shares and write covered calls today.

Sounds as if you had more fun. But then I don't dance. Heritage of Texas. How did you escape the Friday night football syndrom?
