Interesting. I guess I am out of the loop. I didn't see that. I thought you all were of the, "just ignore" things you don't want to give serious attention to mind set. Why would Karen cast such a directive?

Anyway, I would agree with you if the claim was that you know the person or know all there is to know about the person, or know the person better than other people do who know that person from a different setting.

However, I think it is fair to say that you know that person, or something about his character, from your perspective. It may be based on some observations that you are able to make that others are not. It may infact qualify you to say that you know that person better than other people do. I would assume by such a claim that you are referring to some specific aspect of that persons character that other people have not had privvy to...as opposed to knowing everything about the person....of course. It is also probable that your perspective is filtered by your experiencial background and even the person himself would say that you have it wrong. In that case as the cliche goes, do we ever "really" know anybody?
