You seem to have missed the point. RELIGION. They will "learn to live together" when they are both converted to the SAME religion. Not going to happen.

Do you apply the label "ethnic cleansing" to the partition of India into India and Pakistan and the migrations that resulted?

History has taught us that such a "safe location" must be a Jewish state. The Jews in Israel, today, are safer than any Jews, anywhere, in the history of Judaism. The rest of the world still doesn't really understand and doesn't accept what Israel is, now. It is no longer a remnant of a persecuted, murdered people who graciously accepted a reticent handout from the British (Balfour Declaration) and the UN (partition). Now, on a daily basis, it tells the rest of the world that there will be no compromise on protecting the security of Israelis and the existence of the state.

Just remember that when Bush was spending most of his time reading the label of a Jack Daniels bottle, Sharon was leading a tank battalion across the Suez and toward Cairo. Sharon lived the 20th century in Palestine/Israel among the Arabs. There was 100 years to "learn to live together". Sharon knows that the great 20th century hero to his Arab neighbors was Adolph Hitler. He knows how Arabs and British conspired to direct Jews to Auchwitz instead of Palestine. He was there. Hitler is dead. Britain is second rate. The Soviet Union is gone. The Arabs have lost. Their choice is to leave the field gracefully or in suicidal violence. I am only suggesting that they are helped to make the first choice.
