Well, to be fair, larry, notional value really doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot of anything beyond its scare value.

I imagine there's a few Cisco employees with options to buy 10,000 or so shares of stock at $70/share. Now, on a notional basis those people have quite a bit of money, although in reality those options are worth zero.

Yes, JPM has a big derivative exposure, more than any other bank in the US, but the notional value of the derivative exposure really doesn't give much of an indication of anything.
