Why is a tent more noble than a house? When you've done without indoor plumbing for a year let me know how you like it. Have you cut a winter's worth of firewood and hauled it and stacked behind your house? Or butchered your own hog, grown all your own fruits and veggies and canned them and filled your cellar with them? I did all this as a kid and I don't think that lifestyle is any more noble. Now having said that I will say I'm glad I experienced it. And I think it would be good for kids today to experience some of what I did for at least a part of their childhood.
