The Nasdaq closed at 1005.10 on August 9th, 1995. That was the day when Netscape (NSCP) came public, arguably the birth of the internet bubble.

Fitting if that is where the Nasdaq finally bottoms.... though I would add that year-to-date August 9, 1995, the Nasdaq was already up 35% for the year, largely due to the Windows95 boom (which shipped August 24, 1995).

Btw, I am not calling the bottom. Just offering some SportsCenter-like comparisons.
