Pipes can't "get into the system" to about the same degree that the Prince of Darkness Perle can't, as far as I can see

He's in the political system, not the academic system. Remember, we had this discussion last winter. tekboy said that a friend of his in Mideastern studies confirmed that there was a political litmus test along Said's post-colonialist lines, that academic applicants had to pass?
