BlandMan, you are not bland at all, just way offbase I believe you underestimate my comment on Arab uprising 54 weeks ago, Arabs delivered an atypical attack it was not only atypical, but effected asymmetrical damage you are surely thinking in conventional terms I am not you might be thinking that I expect an uprising with 1000's of young frustrated fanatics storming a USEmbassy or a USMilitary outpost or ambusing a US convoy NOT I expect an uprising in the same vein as 54 weeks ago surely you remember it remember the Lebanon suicide bomber in the mid-80's who killed 220 US soldiers? HezBollah was the signature on their death certificates we have over 200,000 soldiers now in the Middle East many of them are within reach of fanatic bombers now right now
Arabs have always been dangerous among themselves but Al-Qaeda is teaching them dangerous and effective tactics if not directly, then certainly by passive example
sorry, MarvellousMan the US fails consistently to properly measure unconventional enemies like HoChiMinh, like BedLinen we build more and smarter F-16 warplanes we build more and swifter Bradley tanks but they are as effective in combatting Islamic warriors, as they are in rebuffing a common cold our effectiveness in patroling our borders and airlines and passport visas has been amply demonstrated as absurdly, laughably, comically inept
if we invade Iraq, watch the response, the counter-measures, the financial warfare, the terrorist attacks to oil tankers and terminals they might boycott USTrezBonds, or demand petro-payments in Euros or gold bullion ever consider that? you are thinking in the wrong arena, my good man
we will see you might be right but I give you 5-10% chance, tops
