OT Thanks for that picture. That's amazing. Was it that bright? I was at the coast this weekend and had my friend stop so we could watch the sunset and possibly see the Emerald flash - the sky turns green as the sun sets below the ocean horizon, but only on a clear day, and I've only seen once it in CA, and this is OR. It didn't happen...BUT just at the moment when I'd have expected the sky to turn green for a nanosecond, came rising from the sea sparkling lights in a zigzag pattern that then went off to the right. I'm thinking "angels' my friend, a pilot. says it's a plane; the folks next to us say "birds" someone else said "aliens". Clearly, it was an anomaly almost as good as the green flash. :^)
