I hope you realize that Gore missed the boat on Iraq. Time to discuss this was 3 to 6 months ago, during the planning and discussion phase. Whether you (or I) like it or not, we are now in execution phase. You think? Think again! 3 to 6 months ago, this speach could have been considered constructive dialog, now it is just obstruction. Gore just doesn't have a pulse on what's going on, and ends up being an odd man out. You think? Think again! And if Democrats get sucked into this at this late stage, they may suffer consequences at the polls. Democrats in Congress were set to go along with Bush. If Gore persuades some to go along with him - resulting in a split among Democrats, it can't end up positively. Look at it this way: If Gore ends up costing Gephard speakership this fall, he will have to face him in 2004. You think? Think again! Yes, yes, yes........this is how a president of the United States speaks. Actually, no. This is why Gore is not the President now, this is why he blew the incredible opportunity of running when everything seemed just dandy (to an uninformed observer) in the country. Get it real loud and clear........Gore won the popular vote. Be in denial all you want.......it doesn't change the truth nor the facts for the rest of us. And let me add, that attacking Iraq will be one more issue to cause Bush's defeat in 2004. You think you know the mood of the country but you are very wrong. Only now are people starting to object........it will grow to a roar soon! ted
