Getting rid of terrorism means ALL terrorists, not just Al Qaeda.

Ah, so says GWB. I gather that includes opponents of the current Chinese government. The old canard still applies that one state's "terrorists" are another state's "freedom fighters." So the term, if it is to be used at all seriously, needs to connote something specific. That's why, to the degree I can, I stay away from it.

Al Q attacked the US on 9-11. If any other group/state, whatever can be credibly linked to those attacks or to any future attacks, then we should respond.

But as the Bush folk use it, it is simply a convenient way to label groups they wish to attack.

Much like their doctrine of preemption.
