JohnM,

...I'm having a rather large amount of difficulty trying to see how it relates to the present argument about the ME

The argument is about intentions. Any amount of evidence appears entirely moot, because you are asking that someone provide something into evidence which ipso facto cannot be proved - the intentions of an action before they occur.

You have stated a case that boils down to: no pre-emption. At best you could justify a strike once a launch was detected or after forensic evidence proved beyond any shadow that such an attack originated in Iraq.

I don't mean to belittle this position. It has moral clarity - I just disagree.

The basis for my disagreement is that our interests extend to regions and countries he can attack - not just the continental US. His proven indirect support of terrorrism such as the arming and financing of terror groups, and the continued financial compensation for Fundamentalists who die while killing Jews or Americans underscores why he must be removed.
