Dynasty Capital Services appoints telecom and technology visionary

Ming Louie as Principal


SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, November 20, 2001- Dynasty Capital Services, a preeminent provider of strategic and financial advisory services, today announced the appointment of telecom visionary Ming Louie as Principal.

Mr. Louie is a technology visionary and accomplished executive officer with over twenty-seven years experience in building the next-generation of telecommunications infrastructure throughout the world. In his capacity with Dynasty Capital Services, Mr. Louie will lead the development of Dynasty’s expansion in the Asia Pacific Region. He will initially be based in Beijing, China.

Prior to joining Dynasty, Mr. Louie was the President of Qualcomm Greater China. Mr. Louie was responsible for Qualcomm's strategy and operations in Greater China, which encompass trade centers in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Prior to being recruited to serve in this capacity, Mr. Louie had held senior executive positions with Globalstar Communications Ltd from its inception. Holding multiple roles, Mr. Louie was the Chief Architect of the world's first global satellite-based personal communications system, where he designed the space and ground segments, including a revolutionary constellation of 48 low earth orbiting (LEO) satellites. In his capacity as Vice President of Business Development, he identified and formed strategic partnerships with major telecommunications companies including China Telecom, Chunghwa Telecom, Hyundai Corporation, Alcatel, Vodafone and France Telecom. Mr. Louie also successfully opened the China market for Globalstar and for its parent, Loral Space & Communications, closing multiple complex transactions in the region valued at more than $500 million including a multi-million dollar satellite contract from CHINASAT.

Mr. Louie holds an MS of Electrical Engineering degree from Princeton University, an MBA degree from Drexel University, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Polytechnic University of New York.
