I was given a ton of paper work on that during one of my many classes on teaching people with disabilities. I think if you search the net you can find any number of articles written by people with disabilities who are down on the olympics. I am in the middle of the road myself. I don't know what to think about them, but understand both POV's.

If you like I will look through my files, but I think any search of the net will yield you what you want. We were visited by many speakers with disabilities in our teaching courses, and many of them were very militant. I wouldn't call them PC. I think the PC thinking is that we shouldn't say anything negative about the special olympics. I think it is militant activists for the disabled, and activists who are disabled, who have the negative stuff to say.
