Gary, there are hundreds of products, insecticides, chemicals etc. that are banned for use in the US on environmental or safety issues that are manufactured by US companies and exported to other countries with the full blessing of the US government. If it makes money for the US and US companies it's fair trade; just don't use it anywhere inside the US or nearby to dirty up the backyard.

Land mines are another great American export, used to kill and maim civilians and military alike often for decades after the original conflict has ended, but always supplied to other countries for profit of course.
