The cost is a lot less than 70% of earnings
True, I did not look at the effect of those bad puts, and am not sure they would also have to be expensed
in the same way.
I doubt that any new SEC rule will be retroactive when you consider the losses and required reworking of last years tech stock reports. Thats no way to run a business affair, as if they did the government
would have to give a lot of tax money back. Around 50% for Dell, I believe, or a rebate of $250mm for last quarter. . ()very rough figures)
