Well, I've probably let certain people get under my skin way too much today and I apologize to the thread for letting that happen...

Fighting terrorism and the criminal and political networks that support and harbor it, is like fighting drug smugglers... We'll never totally defeat it, only manage it (hopefully).

However, we cannot just say we'll only attack Al-Qaeda because it was merely a convenient "umbrella" under which these groups temporarily formed for mutual support. The fact that the umbrella has been destroyed does not mean that those being protected and supported are no longer a threat.

I have a real problem with Terrorism.. no matter what the source. Any group that deliberately seeks to target civilian populations, rather than focusing on military targets, is a group that I feel is an enemy of US interests.

But that is not the same as legitimate guerilla and rebel movements who seek to target a nation's military... That's not terrorism, in my definition.

I'm going to try and chill out for the next couple of days and not try to get caught up in the heated discussions with certain individuals...
