They know what kind of hell it is to fight a war, but most would agree that the freedom's we take for granted are worth it.
Hi Neeney - we are all grateful to the men and women in our military, especially to the ones who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Since 9/11, every time I drove into DC, and looked at the dome of the Capitol building shining in the sun, I marveled that it was still standing. It was discovered recently that Flight 93 was intended for the Capitol, so the men and women on that flight paid the ultimate price to save that symbol of our freedom, and the lives of the many men and women who were there working that day.
I can't tell you how devastating it would have been, and would be if that building were destroyed.
I think the question before us is not whether American men and women will give their lives if we go to war with Iraq, but whether they will give their lives if we don't.
I believe that the answer is yes.
I believe that if the governments in Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc., etc., quit supporting terrorists covertly, this will make it less likely that Americans will continue to be killed by terrorists.
I believe that the only way the government of Iraq will quit supporting terrorists is by force.
I believe that we have no choice but to use force to accomplish the goal of regime change in order to end support for terrorism in Iraq.
This is only the start. There will be more to come, but perhaps Iraq will serve as an example. |
