By Petter Narvestad
Oslo, Sept. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Investor Jens Ulltveit-Moe nominated himself as the chairman of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA. He also proposed Reidar Michaelsen, chairman and chief executive of the debt-laden mapper of oil reserves, as a board member.

Shareholders are set to vote on a new board of eight members, of which four would be new ones, this Friday at a shareholders meeting in Oslo. Ulltveit-Moe, 57, is PGS's biggest owner with more than 10 percent of the stock. He seeks a board of directors with ``solid experience from industrial operations and demanding financial tasks,'' according to a faxed statement.
