I think they have good people and good products. They have enough cash to cover their debt, so won't be visiting the bankruptcy court any time soon. They took a "hunker down and wait it out without decimating the company" approach to the downturn, and Wall Street has hated that decision; however, for the long term, and assuming the recession doesn't last forever, it might have been a good decision. From breakeven where they are currently sitting +/-, it wouldn't take much to generate fairly significant profitability, either via an increase in sales (if the economy improves) or via layoffs (if they so choose). Hopefully they're using some of their cashflow to buy in some shares at these depressed prices.

Profitability is wonderful, but perhaps overrated during recessions (assuming the bad times aren't interminable).

All JMHO.
