JUST Monday...in fact Bush said he would not interfere with states' rights, specifically, though he has voiced his vehement opposition to stem cell research, he stated hw will not interfere with CA's plans to go ahead on it. However, he said nothing September 5 when state approved medical marijuana growers in Santa CRuz CA were arrested. He did not tell Ascroft to back off earlier this year when he interfered with OR state's rights. JMO the WH believes (rightly, I suppose) that many Americans are ignorant, uninformed, on Prozac, on other drugs, are senile or just plain don't care or all of the above.
