That's funny, MM. I'm no big fan of pro football, but I think that it's laughable that you make this statement. If the defensive backs, wide receivers, and quarterbacks in the NFL had taken up tennis instead of football, I'd venture to say that the current level of competition would be measurably higher.

p.s. Although a questionable test of athleticism, ABCs Superstars competition at least made the attempt. Seems to me no tennis players (I know Rod Laver competed)and few football players ever came out on top--I think it was normally soccer players and track and field participants.
