I agree with Charles. Sun is the top Unix vendor in the world and gaining. Sun is the 3rd overall server vendor in the world and gaining. Great company, great products, great ideas, lousy economic environment. Look at it this way: nobody is doing well in the computer business right now.... nobody. Just check the numbers. One thing I will add to what Charles has said is this: I think the entire biz has structural problems & they are making matters worse for this sector. The marketing philosophies that have driven it so successfully for the last 20 years are now coming back to haunt it & everyone is suffering. You may want to stay out of tech until things shake out. I don't think anyone knows where the chips are going to fall at this point.
