oracle really on a tear yesterday and today. Yesterday was the real surprise, mkt wasn't good. Oracle was started today by Bear with "peer perform" Oh thats a new one. Not market perform but "peer perform". This means the analyst is totally immune to the general trends in software as a whole. I don't usually bash analysts, but this Bear software team is too much. They downgraded sebl prior to earnings saying no pickup in software for 18 mos. No CIO I have ever talked to in the world will make a prediction that far out. I see their sell rating on sebl is still active. Now they have oracle at "peer perform". OK so with no software pickup for 18 mos, is this really a "hold" for oracle? Seems more like a sell for the whole group. L
