What is the word I am looking for, in the movie "The Mission", this Spaniard dude carries around a great weighted bag of armor through the jungles, in a n attempt to pay for his sins. Now, this is an act of vanity, but what is the word? I thought it beautiful, though pure fantasy, to think that I could redeem myself through overcoming some physical obstacle. But it is harder, you must overcome your flesh that leads you to hate.
