| Morality is very superficial, and situationally dependent- as many studies show us. SI shows us this. The world shows us this. Most people are, at their core, more than willing to throw away all the ideals they think they value, in order to hook up with a group. I remember participating in an interesting experiment regarding that in high school. People feel they are weak alone, and strong in groups- when, imo, from an internal perspective, the exact opposite is the case. Of course you can DO more in a group, but the you, that was you, is gone. And that is true weakness, imo. |
