I hope it's the case. Al Qaeda would be a lot more dangerous with backing of somewhat sophisticated country such as Iraq (compared to Afghanistan and Sudan). Al Qaeda link would definitely remove any hesitations I currently have about attacking Iraq.

I'm not sure, but I think the American voter may be intelligent enough to understand that it isn't about Al Qaeda. It's about 9/11; there are numerous other states and organizations, including Iraq, Iran, Syria, Hamas, the PLO, and many others -- who are capable of doing the same thing or even worse.

It is about TERRORISM. I think most people recognize that we could be the next victims for suicide bombings that we're currently seeing only in Israel. The Gore/Begala argument that Al Qaeda is the source of all problems does not represent clear thinking.
