Iraqi involvement is suspected in an assasination attempt made on former President Bush in Kuwait. Eleven Iraqis are apprehended by the Kuwaiti government.


That looks like plenty of evidence to justify a "regime change" in Iraq. All the other recent history wrt USA and Iraq is at best neutral. Hussain turned into a big problem with the invasion of Kuwait, openly expressing his view that the USA is not up to any fight. The guy is a major problem and needs to be at least contained.
