Gary, Berlusconi is a fascist pig who is being demonstrated against in the streets monthly if not weekly. A huge anti-war rally is being planned. His latest swindle is to exonerate Italian accountants from any culpability for fraud. Just like the Repuglicans forced through with the disgusting PSLRA of 1995 here. Berlusconi controls the media in Italy, so he can lie all he wants. Bush would be jealous except that his handlers control the U.S. media. You failed to read to the bottom of the page on the Italian article: "Former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema, who is president of the main left-wing opposition party, denounced Berlusconi's speech as "totally wrong," while the Communist Party branded it "disgusting." Pacifist organizations are planning major anti-war demonstrations in the coming weeks across Italy and center-left leaders called on Berlusconi to return to parliament and make clear that he was opposed to conflict. "War would be a catastrophic outcome, not just in terms of relations between the West and Islamic countries, but with the threat that the Middle East would become even more explosive," said Piero Fassino, leader of the Democrats of the Left party."
