politics/flavor of the day, my friend. Indeed. And the Dems have no pet issue of the moment, so the hue and cry of "politicizing the war!" goes up across the land. Most politics is beating on non-issues. At a time when Americans aren't as easily distracted by the usual white noise issuing from politicians' mealy mouths, it must be frightening to be an incumbant Senator or Representative. Derek
