I agree with you and add that her statement also indicates reflexive anti-Americanism.

I'm furious about her statement, and Shroeders position in that it compromises the UN's strength in getting the inspectors to inspect with true authority. Very few people believe Saddam's claim that he has no chemical or germ potential and that he isn't working on nuclear. IMO, the issue is neutralizing him, not unseating him. By having inspectors in, neutralization can be realized without body bags. Saddam will resist inspectors as long as he sees seams in the US alliance. That shithead Shroeder just provided the seams. I personally want to get people together and picket Mercedes dealers with placards asking them to sell their cars to Iraq. Bush stated very clearly that those who are not with us are against us.

I am not a Bush fan, but his strong stand. IMO, is just to get the inspectors in, and I applaud it. Schroeder just increased the chances of a war by putting seams in the alliance. Without international backing, Bush may have painted his way in a corner and have to attack. Obviously that is far worse than inspections.
