Not quite sure what you mean, but no. The old Netscape Communicator series (versions 3.XX and 4.XX) came with Netscape's own version of java which wasn't that great.

Starting with Netscape 6.xx (which was a disaster and I never used) they used SUN java. When I was using the BETA version of Netscape 7.0 there was a prior version of SUN java (can't remember the version number anymore) but with the current production Netscape 7.0 they ship SUN java version 1.4.0.

I have had no java problems with either the BETA version or the version of Netscape I now use.
