OLDTRADER, RE: It has always given me a roll of the eyes and a wry smile to hear semi retired guys my age pontificating/cleansing their souls so to speak on the ills of the business they have just spent a lifetime in screwing people with evergreen fees and delivering little. Ordinarily I would agree with this statement, but in Bogle's favor he spent his entire career saying exactly the same thing. Not only that, he practiced what he preached. The firm that Bogle led for so long was and is an industry leader in reducing fees to their lowest level and keeping them there.
