ST. JOHN'S, NF, Sept. 26 /CNW/ - CHC Helicopter Corporation ("CHC") (TSX: FLY.A and FLY.B; NASDAQ: FLYA) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, CHC Helicopters International, has signed two new agreements in Malaysia worth a total of approximately $21.6 million (all figures in Canadian dollars). CHC has successfully negotiated a five-year agreement to lease a Super Puma AS332L1 to Malaysian Helicopter Services for a contract with Talisman Energy Inc. commencing November 1, 2002. CHC has also negotiated an agreement to provide a Sikorsky S76A to Murphy Oil for 45 days starting immediately. CHC is pleased to establish its presence in this important offshore oil and gas market, and looks forward to a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership with Malaysian Helicopter Services.
