Michael & All,
Get ROAD RUNNER if you are able!! It is super fast. Test the speed of your internet service by clicking on Mr. Cummings name. With my newly acquired Road Runner internet service his profile comes up instantly.

ROAD RUNNER, character, name are trademarks of Warner Bros

The Road Runner Browser is a customized version of the Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Incomparable Road Runner service.
Using normal telephone lines and a modem, data travels at rates from 2,400 bits of information per second (the slowest) to 33,600 bits per second (the fastest speed generally available via normal telephone lines).

But cable modem is far faster and much better.

Using your cable television system's high-speed lines, The Road Runner system delivers information at speeds greater than one million bits per second. Fast!

So who makes the parts?
COMS makes the 16-Bit ISA Network Adapter installed in your computer box.
External box (size of most telephones) is made by Motorola
My system was installed by Southwestern Cable TV and it's parent company is TWX , ( Time Warner Inc.)

Cost of instalation: $175.
Cost of monthly service is less than $50. No phone line needed and of course unlimited time usage.

As I cruise down the information highway, I promise not to bump into anybody as you "poke" along. This is Cyberspace Heaven!
humble carl
