If the industries have to much capacity then some of the capacity has to be removed by companies shrinking or going out of business. Keeping the capacity around though subsidies only wastes resources.

I didn't scream (at most I made a mild grumble) about the airlines getting the emergency chunk of cash they got awhile back but it shouldn't be a continual thing. If people don't want to fly as much then some airlines should go out of business and we shouldn't try to stop this process with subsidies.
