---people that love to trash neville chamberlain are ignorant of the fact that the nazi industrial war machine was capable of cranking out several times as many planes as britain and france. there was no other alternative than to "appease" hitler at munich. if chamberlain had stood up to hitler at munich and started a war, germany's superior military industrial machine would have wiped britain off the map. neville chamberlain's "appeasement" bought time for the british to get their war machine in gear so they could eventually withstand hitler's attack.-- that's not right... the czechs had an advanced armaments industry and a line of fortifiactions rivalling the maginot line... and there was no equivalent of the ardennes for the germans to attack through... they would have had to have attacked right into the teeth of czech fortresses... the british and french could have pounded germany from the west... the french and british were simply cowards... but obviously your knowledge of military history in this instance is incorrect... also, when hitler got around to france in may of '40 roughly 40% of the 'german' tanks were those captured from the czechs - 35t and 38t - without ever having fired a shot... man you are a trip...
