I am dyslexic as you know, and could have opted for untimed exam. I chose to compete on an open field rather then feel like I was given any special attention. My untimed scores were 30% higher then my timed. If I had used those scores with my academic record I could have gone to any IVY league school. In retrospect knowing what I know now I probably should have done that. The problem is deciding who is really needy or not. Those with real disabilities would have been diagnosed years earlier.
