David, Thanks for the link. I stand by what I said about the Pollack piece: nytimes.com It is encrusted with lies and half truths. It is pure propaganda. For instance, Pollack calls Hussein "suicidal" for his revenge on Kuwait for Kuwait's theft of Rumaila field oil by means of slant drilling. Before Hussein invaded Kuwait, he cleared his plan with the U.S. Ambassador, April Glaspie. She expressed no concern about his plan. Then G.H.W. Bush betrayed Hussein and mounted his Gulf War against him, along with a barrage of disingenuous lies to the American public to sell the war. Why is Pollack not telling us this? Because the truth is inconvenient to his scheming story. That's why. He's a damn liar. -Ray
