I did some further checking, and came to the same
conclusion/confusion (in my case!). However, EDS
is off its lows, shows signs of upward movement at
least for the short term. I do not think that EDS
is a valid buy for the long term. Perhaps an in and
out type of play. I do not (see above) own EDS at
this point in time.

Re: ORCL. I have only one question. Outside of SEBL,
what company can compete with them in the relational
data base tools arena?
MSFT would like to, but at this
point in time doesn't have the tools developed that would
handle a companies full needs. SEBL is a toddler compared
to ORCL both in terms of manpower and financial backing.
Most of the other are out of the U.S. and have not made
any real inroads to corporate America. MGIC is able to
handle relational file organization but has a real problem
with major companies over here. In Europe and Asia, they are much better known.

This is all coming from an (thankfully ex systems analyst/
programming manager) who started out in the business in
1964 and finally retired in 2000.

I firmly believe that when the economy recovers 1,2,3
years from now the ORCL will be leading the whole RDMS
world. I can wait.

BTW...
When wil MSFT start paying dividends? Probably
when hell freezes over!
Take Care
