Down about $3 million on the top line, Greg. No biggie, as the loss is cut as promised. This was a TERRIBLE quarter for other sector firms, like JDSU, NT, RBAK.

Look at Ciena. Revenues are now less than 11% of their last year quarter (and lower than MRVC) with huge losses. For that the market still rewards them with a $1.5 Billion market cap:

<<In the third quarter ended July 31, Ciena lost $160 million as Sales plunged to $50 million from $458 million in the same period last year.>>

Look at RBAK - sales to come in between $15M-20M with a bigger loss than MRVC. MRVC has 3+ times the revenue and a smaller loss, but equivalent market caps.

Look at SBC:

<< SBC, for its part, was blunt in its assessment of the difficulties it faces. It said it was losing 12,000 customer lines a day to competitors that lease its network and might lose as many 23,000 lines a day by the end of next year if erosion rates remain steady.

SBC's revenue in the first six months declined by more than $1 billion from the period a year earlier. Assuming revenue from wireline operation continues to decline at a rate of 6 percent, SBC said it might lose another $2.3 billion over the next 12 months. >>
