After watching biotech for 6 months, I concluded that the industry is mostly a venture capital industry, but the companies have decided to assume the clothing of public companies and the investment community has accommodated them. I think the average investor doesn't realize that these companies require the investor to assume venture capital risk. The investors with venture capital level expertise and sophistication will benefit, but most of the rest will lose badly.
