More big action in the COT report. . . cftc.gov The big action involves tons of positions being closed out totally. Overall volume from the commercials was closing 50K of their long S+P bigs, and 60K of their short contracts. On the E-mini, they closed 167K longs, and 107K shorts. What's that about? End of month/quarter stuff? On the S+P E-mini, the small guys reversed to heavily long, by the way. On the NDX, lots more closing. . . but here the commercials ended up shorter by about 4K contracts overall. FWIW, by my math, the commercials are only short the S+P by 17K contracts total. That is the lowest I've seen since I've watched. Are they switching to a long posture here over the next few weeks? the freep
