mepci - I thought my post was pretty clear

if DELL hadn't bought back any of the shares and simply invested the excess cash and suffered through the dilution their earnings per share would have been almost identical because of the increased investment income

add 1 billion shares to the current weighted avg

add the add'l investment income of around 6% on $12.5 billion dollars

divide the new earnings by the new weighted avg shares and the eps is just about identical
