Personally, I think that it is great that the spread has gotten smaller. Manipulation? Depends on your definition. Do I think that MMs try to shake out the weaker players (both big and small)? you bet I believe it. I watched it all day yesterday on SYMC and NVLS. But is that "manipulation" at the darkest definition or is it just how the game is played?

I just looked at the charts for ACF and RTN....don't see any signs of anything out of the ordinary there.

But all that is secondary to this: The Power Players, through "Buy-Sell" programs now control the Market. They don't even need to spread rumors, hire rogue reporters, or pay off insiders for information anymore. They often are responsible for over 50% of all daily volume. That doesn't sound healthy to me

It sounds to me like the pros are adjusting to a changing environment. Whether it sounds healthy or not to you isn't really important. This is a business for them and it doesn't sound unethical to me. They need to make money to survive. The rules of the game have been changing very fast for both the little guy and the big guy. Complaining about the fact that the market is evolving faster than you are isn't going to help you survive. You are going to have to adapt to your surroundings to survive.

Do you complain that the casinos don't pay true odds on Craps? or that the roulette wheel has the 0 and 00 slots that change the odds? Or that the 21 dealer always hits last?
