A recent news release discussed Mentor's support for ALTR's new low price chips. I have talked about EDA companies before. After watching them for 12 years, I don't think they are positioned well enough to earn the return they probably deserve. "Cheap" is pretty objective if the usual metrics are applied, but it is pretty subjective if we try to discount the future.
